Canada at the WSSD Global Sustainable Development with an Emphasis on Africa

Canada has played a leading role in helping the international community to adopt more effective approaches in working with African countries in their development. Canada's leadership in advancing the Africa Action Plan at the recent G8 Kananaskis Summit is a recent example.

Canada believes that many of the challenges faced on the African continent are linked to issues of sustainable development. For this reason, Canada will continue to work with the international community to address social, political, economic, and environmental challenges.
